The foundation to a happy healthy dog
We cover a variety of puppy issues such as mouthing, crate training, socialization and house training. In addition we introduce puppy manners and obedience queues (i.e. sit, down, come) The program goal is to set your puppy up for success as he or she matures into adulthood and continued training.
Classes are designed to have 8 dogs per class and 3-4 trainers in each class. We want each team to get the attention they deserve in a smaller class while learning Heel, Sit, Down, Come, Leave It, Drop It" and the importance of the word "No". Behavioral problems such as mouthing and jumping, as well as others, will be addressed. Throughout the class handlers will learn to deal with everyday situations with their dogs, such as; running critters, barking dogs, strange surfaces and more. 7 WEEK
This is the next class after mastering on leash obedience. These classes are 4-6 dog and owner teams to 2 trainers. The class is a 6 week class that teaches how to work with your dog at a greater distance and maintain control. No, not off leash but a step in achieving just such a goal. Also, you and your dog will learn new commands like retrieval, walking backwards, mid-come stay and much more. You and your dog will learn commands with distraction and distances while mastering a 20ft long line
This class takes everything you have learned with your dog in Dog About Town and Intermediate Suburban K9 and shows you what fun and exciting things you can now do with your dog. You will learn tricks, scent work (antlers or money) and take the new bond you have developed with your dog and negotiate obstacles unlike any you have ever seen on those boring AKC agility courses. The confidence and bond you and your dog build while having fun is an unforgettable experience. 6-week
Now that you have mastered on leash and distance commands, it’s time to set your K9 partner free. These classes are 4-6 teams to 2 trainers. The class is a 7 week class that teaches you how to work with your dog at a greater distance and maintain control while off leash. Don’t worry, we will still work with distractions and prepare you for the real world of “oh look SQUIRREL!” We can teach with E-collars (electric) if you like, but it is not a requirement for the class.

I want or need more from my dog
This class is specifically designed to ensure your dog is still a friendly, social member of the family and not a public liability. Your dog should already have passed Basic Obedience and will learn Off-Leash Obedience as a part of this course. Your dog will be taught to alert to intruders by barking and placing themselves between the threat and their owners. These dogs are NOT trained to ATTACK, but instead to DEFEND their master when a threat arises.
